Tarquin's Gingerbread Fizz

Gingerbread in Liquid Form

Ingredients:

  • 50ml TARQUIN'S GINGERBREAD GIN
  • 15ml FRESH LIME JUICE
  • 15ml FRESH GINGER SYRUP*
  • 2 DASHES ORANGE BITTERS
  • 1/2 FRESH EGG WHITE (or alternative vegan foamer)
  • SODA WATER to top

Method:

  • Add all the ingredients to your shaker apart from the soda
  • Add lots of ice cubes
  • Reverse dry shake (shake until ice cold, strain, remove ice, then shake again with no ice)
  • Double strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice cubes
  • Top Up with the Soda to activate the foam
  • Garnish with a long shard of Ginger bread, resting over the foam...YEGHES DA! 

Ginger Syrup:

  • Heat a pan with 1 cup of water to a simmer with a thumb sized piece of sliced fresh ginger
  • After 10-15 minutes, remove the ginger
  • Dissolve equal amounts of sugar to the liquid in a 1:1 ratio
  • Bottle and allow to cool in the fridge
