From Soil to Spirit: The Story Behind Our Mojito Gin
Some of the best ideas start with a friendship. Ours started four miles down the road.
A Cornish Connection
Tarquin has always had a soft spot for a good mojito. Ask anyone who knows him and they’ll tell you it’s less of a preference and more of a personality trait. So when the chance came to create a gin inspired by his favourite serve, there was only ever one place we wanted to source the mint: Padstow Kitchen Garden.
Just four miles from Distillery HQ, Padstow Kitchen Garden is run by people who grow with the same care and attention we put into every bottle we distil. It’s a partnership built not on paper, but on years of friendship and a shared belief that the best things are grown, made, and enjoyed close to home.

Meet the Grower
Ross Geach is the founder of Padstow Kitchen Garden, just three miles from Distillery HQ. A 7th-generation farmer and formerly head chef at Rick Stein’s down the road, Ross brings a rare combination of culinary instinct and deep agricultural knowledge to everything he grows. His kitchen garden supplies some of the finest local businesses in Cornwall with seasonal fruit and vegetables, including the mint that goes into our Mojito Gin.
There’s something quietly special about knowing exactly where your ingredients come from and exactly who grew them. For us, that’s the heart of this whole project.

The Mint
Fresh Cornish mint, grown just miles from our copper pot stills. It’s bright, clean, and unmistakably of this place. The perfect foundation for a gin built around the mojito serve.

Crafting the Gin
Small batch. Limited release. Every decision was made with intention, from the fresh Padstow Kitchen Garden mint to the final touch: each bottle hand-dipped in wax at Distillery HQ. No two bottles are ever quite the same.
The Launch
We couldn’t imagine celebrating this gin anywhere other than where it all began. Our launch night at Padstow Kitchen Garden was exactly that. Good friends, beautiful serves, and more mojitos than anyone was counting. Less of a product launch, more of a thank you.
Made for Summer
Best served as a Cornish Mojito Spritz: fresh lime, Cornish mint, and a long pour of sunshine.

Once it’s gone, it’s gone. Available in Tarquin’s Gin Shops and on our website.
